New Subaru Forester vs. New Subaru Outback: Which Crossover Prevails in Philadelphia?

Engine Power

The new Subaru Forester is available with only one engine - a 2.5-liter four-cylinder motor that produces 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. Paired with its continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), the Forester has all the get-up-and-go you need for regular driving.

The new Subaru Outback has the same standard 182-horsepower four-cylinder engine and CVT as the Forester. However, the Outback also offers a turbocharged 260-horsepower motor for effortless passing on Kings Highway in Cherry Hill, NJ.
