Compare the Subaru Legacy to the Competition

at Ciocca Subaru of Philadelphia

Choosing the right sedan is a lot like shopping for clothing that fits you - there are plenty of options out there, but very few match your specific style. With models like the Subaru Legacy, you'll find a style that matches your own. The new Subaru Legacy now features an updated look with a larger grille, a revised front bumper, and much more! The automated emergency steering feature is now available with the Legacy's driver assistance package. You can even try the Touring XT trim and enjoy a new wide-angle camera to improve your field of view! There's a lot to love in the new Subaru Legacy!

The Subaru Legacy doesn't sit atop the sedan mountain alone. Options like the Honda Accord and Hyundai Sonata provide enjoyable driving experiences that make it hard to choose the right fit for your needs. Below, you'll find out how the Legacy compares to its model and why we think you'll prefer the Subaru Legacy to any of its popular rivals. Let us know if you have any questions!

Subaru Legacy vs. Honda Accord

The Honda Accord is a suitable match for a varied lifestyle, allowing you to look at the finer side of the Honda lineup and what it offers. While the Honda Accord is an impressive sedan, the Subaru Legacy has more standard features than you'll find with a Honda car. For instance, Philadelphia roads can often become slick and dangerous, especially when the snow starts falling. The Legacy gives you added confidence to handle these situations with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. When the system senses a wheel starting to slip, it will route power to that wheel and ensure it has improved traction control. The Honda Accord doesn't offer an AWD system.

Even though the Honda Accord costs over $2,000 more than the Legacy, the Legacy still offers features you can't find in the Accord lineup. The Honda Accord comes standard with an eight-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay®/Android Auto™ smartphone integration, making it easy to connect your device and enjoy music and apps from your phone. But that's all you'll have to work with - there's no other screen size available. The Subaru Legacy's STARLINK® Dual 7.0-inch Multimedia system employs a seven-inch touchscreen and similar smartphone connectivity but offers an 11.6-inch touchscreen with higher models. Once again, the Legacy offers more value with its affordable lineup.

Subaru Legacy vs. Hyundai Sonata

Like the Honda Accord, the Hyundai Sonata starts at a higher base price than the Legacy. While the Sonata certainly offers its fair share of unique features, it still can't quite come close to what you'll find when you purchase the new Legacy. The Subaru sedan enjoys standard features like Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and LED Steering Responsive Headlights. In contrast, higher trim levels feature the DriverFocusâ„¢ Distraction Mitigation System, automated emergency steering, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. The base Sonata doesn't include any of these features, nor does Hyundai offer them anywhere throughout its six-trim lineup. The Subaru Legacy gives you all you'll need.

The Subaru Legacy does offer Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, while the Sonata doesn't have a similar option. The Sonata offers three engine options to the Legacy's two, but you'll find the Legacy holds another advantage regarding your fuel capacity. The Legacy holds up to 18.5 gallons of gas, while the Hyundai Sonata can only store 15.9 gallons. Both models offer similar efficiency performances, but the Legacy pairs its lineup with AWD - you can't manage slippery road conditions as well in the Sonata.
